Day by Day
Begin with a warm-up hike in the heart of the Dolomites to a modern gondola, which will whisk us to our home for the next two nights. Enjoy a dip in the pool before we gather for a mountain aperitivo and dinner.
Today, the kids depart by mountain bike, making their way to a witch-themed riverside hike before heading out on an afternoon horseback ride. Parents begin the day with a chairlift ride up to a remarkable alpine. Stop for apple strudel along the way before continuing to a traditional hutte for lunch. Tonight, watch the sun set from the hotel terrace.
Jump on e-bikes this morning for a ride to Selva before adults bid farewell to the kids as they head to an adventure park. Meanwhile, the parents board a gondola and enjoy a glorious hike at the top of the Gardena pass, taking in the spectacular views of the Sella Massif mountain.
Hike from Corvara to San Cassiano, via the plateau of Pralungià. Enjoy grilled fare on the terrace with a gorgeous 360-degree mountain view before visiting a wintertime World Cup ski run. Tonight you are free to dine as a family in San Cassiano.
Hike the Cinque Torri, set at the heart of WWI battle lines. Our route is gorgeous and the views stellar en route to the peak of l’Averau. Kids have the option to try out rock climbing on the limestone pitches below.
After a farewell breakfast at the hotel, we take a private coach to Venice airport in time for late morning connections. At the airport, you can also catch a taxi to the train station or a motoscafo (water taxi) that will deliver you to Venice in time for lunch.
Give them the experience of a lifetime.

Hotel La Perla, Dolomites
This property is a B&R favourite. Run by Signor Costa, his wife and their three sons, it weds the characteristics and façade of an Austrian hotel with the warmth of Italy. Signora Costa’s personal touches enhance every room. View hotel website »
Rosa Alpina, San Cassiano
Rosa Alpina has earned its Relais & Châteaux and Michelin accolades, but what we love most about this understated retreat is its warm hospitality. Hugo Pizzinini welcomes us to the family as soon as we cross the threshold, while Chef Norbert invites us into his kitchen as he prepares dinner. View hotel website »
This was truly the best vacation of my life. Each day’s activity was varied, fun and unlike anything I had ever experienced before!— Gian Piero Garda
Escape the crowded tourist trails in some parts of Italy, and head to the Dolomites for a unique Italian travel experience. These stunning peaks have drawn foreign mountaineers for centuries, yet somehow they remain one of Italy’s best kept secrets.A Family Travel Blog
We never wanted to be the biggest travel company in the world, just the best.

This hiking trip covers a variety of terrain that at times is challenging. Paths are hard packed dirt trails with a mix of ascents and descents. Daily distances average 5 to 12 km, with some options for less (or more) challenging hikes. Hiking boots (light to medium weight) with sturdy ankle support and strong grips are highly recommended. Please note that van support is limited on this trip due to the lack of access vehicles have to the trails.
“I enjoy going for a good walk or ride and can even handle an incline or two.”
Relatively flat but will include inclines and the occasional climb or two.Read more on our Activity Levels
